Scope of the tools and guides

The BTU calculator gives preliminary floor-area screening scenarios. It does not provide a full room load, select equipment or establish a compliant installation. Its method and limits are shown with the result. The cost worksheet adds editable national equipment and labor ranges or your entered quotes; local costs without amounts stay unknown. The defaults are planning ranges, not contractor quotes or guarantees.

Equipment guides use published sources. Exact model instructions, current official records and applicable local requirements govern the actual project. The site is independent of manufacturers and installers. No hands-on product testing is claimed.

Accuracy and limits

We work to keep the pages accurate. Product data, availability and official guidance can change after a source check. Content and tools are supplied as general information, without a performance or contractor-work guarantee. We are not liable for decisions or losses arising from use of the site, to the extent the law allows.

Your entries

Room and quote entries are calculated in your browser. The cost worksheet saves your scope, amounts, sources and dates locally on this device until you use Clear saved worksheet. Browser settings can erase that record or block saving. On a shared device, clear it when done. The room tool retains entries while the page is open. Neither tool transmits entries to us. You can use the print view to keep your own worksheet. A printed screening result is not a certified load calculation or an accepted installation record.
